Six Pedestrians Struck on Route 46 in Fairfield
Man employed by Skyline Auto Exchange may have suffered a seizure, according to police.
A driver working at an auto auction Tuesday struck six men when he lost control of a car after he may have suffered a seizure, according to Fairfield Police.
Police said Gregory L. Ross, 38, of Paterson, drove a 2004 BMW into a group of men at Skyline Auto Exchange around noon. The BMW hit the pedestrians and crashed into a 2001 Ford Windstar before coming to a stop, according to the police report.
The names of the injured were not released, but police confirmed they are all men between the ages of 31 and 58, and reside in New York, Washington and Maryland.

The men were taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson and Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge by four ambulances from the West Essex First Aid Squad and two ambulances from Atlantic Healthcare. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening and they ranged from abrasions, neck and back pain and difficulty breathing.
Skyline Auto Exchange, located at 100 46 East, commonly holds auctions on Tuesdays and Ross was employed as a driver for the auction, police said.

The accident remains under investigation by Fairfield Police.
