FBI looking into connection to seven area incidents.

Authorities are looking into a possible connection between an attempted bank robbery in Bloomfield and the August 2 robbery at the Pine Brook Bank of America.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Bandit Track Northeast website, the description of the suspect at the attempted robbery on Aug. 9 matches that of the individual involved the Pine Brook robbery. Both suspects are described as white male, 5'10", wearing a black stocking mask, carrying a black revolver and white plastic bag.

According to the website, the suspect entered the PNC bank in Bloomfield demanding cash before fleeing the location on foot, without receiving any money.  In the Pine Brook robbery, the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
