Twin Brothers Earn Eagle Scout Honors

Board of Education recognizes Robert and Dean Manetta.

The Montville Township Board of Education (BOE) presented earlier this month Eagle Scouts, Robert and Dean Manetta, with resolutions recognizing their commitment to excellence, and their achievements as Eagle Scouts and members of Boy Scout Troop 74.

The Montville Township High School students organized and implemented projects that benefitted the Montville Township community.

Robert’s Eagle project included building and installing Trek benches and a nature shelter at Montville Township’s Masar Park, located at 40 Boonton Avenue.

Hilldale Elementary School’s Peace Garden and Outdoor Classroom were transformed by Dean’s project. Benches, bird houses, a nature trail, and signage with information regarding plants and animals were built and installed.

The brothers are the first set of twins to be honored by the Montville Township BOE.
