Project Pride Showcases Montville Music, Art and More

Live performances and diverse student work featured at Rockaway Mall.

March is Music in our Schools Month, Youth Art Month, and Project Pride at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall. To celebrate student accomplishments in music, art, writing, and other academic areas, the mall displayed the work of students from schools all over Morris County.

Montville Township Public Schools participated from March 16 through 23. Five tables of projects from Montville Township’s Cedar Hill, Hilldale, Valley View, William Mason, and Woodmont Elementary Schools, as well as Robert R. Lazar Middle School, were on display outside of Macy’s. Penguins, poems, history, geography, inventions and more were among the projects on display.

The week’s festivities culminated with a musical performance by the 5th grade String Ensemble from Montville Township’s Hilldale and Woodmont Elementary Schools. The Woodmont School Chorus also performed.
