Baseball to Benefit Wounded Warriors
Montville High Hosting Varsity Baseball Games to Help Wounded Veterans.
The Montville Township High School [MTHS] Varsity Baseball Team will be hosting two benefit games to support the Wounded Warrior Project. The games will be played at the Montville Township High School Varsity Field on Saturday, April 12, and Wednesday, April 16. Both fundraisers will be played at 7:00 pm. Members of the community are invited to attend.
“Our team tries to keep things in perspective,” said Coach Joseph Cardinale. “We need to acknowledge how lucky we are just to be healthy, to move around freely, and live the life that we do -- let alone put on a uniform and play baseball every day.”
Cardinale, along with the baseball staff and team, wanted to raise funds to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project in order to show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by service men and women, and to honor and support those veterans who have sustained injuries in the line of duty.

MTHS Baseball families will also volunteer at the benefit games. The families will assist with the team’s Wounded Warriors Project fundraiser by selling food, beverages, baked goods, and Wounded Warrior Project hats. Baseball families will also collect donations on behalf of the Project.
The family friendly fundraiser games will each be held at 7:00 pm at the MTHS Varsity Baseball field on Saturday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 16.
