Vreeland Farms Ready for Fall with Spinners, Halloween Decor

There are a variety of spinners, such as black cats, scarecrows, witches and ghosts.

Located on Main Road in Montville, the cool breeze coming through the area keeps the spinners by the front sign of Vreeland Farms twirling most of the day.

They have many different items for fall and Halloween and more to come, said Vreeland Farms employee Liz. “We still have boxes to unpack.”

She gave a quick run down of the holiday inventory:

  • Mums
  • Fresh apples
  • Indian corn
  • Large and small gourds
  • Pumpkins of various sizes
  • Cabbage and kale
  • Straw
  • Holiday potted plants
  • Indian corn stalks and bundles of Indian corn

Décor includes broomsticks, witch on a broom, a ghost lawn stake, scarecrow and a variety of spinners, such as black cats, scarecrows, witches and ghosts.

“The spinners do serve a purpose. They are a deterrent for deer,” groundhogs, geese and other wild animals. “They don’t like the spinning motion,” said Liz.
