Donate Turkeys, Hams for Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry

Thanksgiving is coming up sooner than you think and while many families are out stocking up with pies, stuffing and sweet potatoes, let’s not forget those who are less fortunate.

“In the spirit of giving, The Montville Kiwanis Club who sponsors The Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry, established just a few years ago, will collect Turkeys and Hams for our pantry clients in hopes to make their Thanksgiving meal complete,” said Linda Gannon, of the Montville Kiwanis Club.

The club is looking for turkeys and hams, but also all of the nonperishable fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.  

“The Kiwanis Club asks our community to consider donating a turkey or ham at this time a year to help us meet our goal.  Non perishable food donations along with monetary donations are accepted year round,” said Gannon.

The Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry is located at 91 Passaic Valley Road, Montville and the hours of operation are Thursday 3-7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. -2 p.m.

Non-perishable food donations are accepted at that location during hours of operation. Monetary donations can also be mailed to PO Box 183, Pine Brook, NJ 07058.

The food pantry’s other designated drop off site that accepts donations of turkeys, hams and non perishable food and monetary donations is Stonybrook Realty at 630 Main Road, Towaco, across from the train station. The office is open 7 days a week during business hours. Their phone number is 973-334-1416.
