Montville Relay for Life Prep Begins, New Format for 2014
This year's event will run from noon to midnight on June 7. Sign up and start fundraising with a group or solo today.
Is one of your new year's resolutions to make a difference? Then form a group or go solo and sign up for Montville's Relay for Life event this year. There's plenty of time to fundraise as the event is on Saturday, June 7.
This year, they are introducing a new event format. Instead of an overnight event, this year it will run from noon to midnight.
"We will start walking at noon with all of the same great events, including Luminary, Survivor Dinner and our Survivor Lap taking place later in the evening. The Relay will end at midnight," according to Terry Becker, Relay for Life Co-Chair.
The planning already started with a Relay for Life committee meeting on Tuesday night at the Montville Senior House."We invite all residents to start the New Year by joining Montville Relay for Life Committee and embracing the opportunity to give back and be a part of an outstanding effort to raise awareness and fight back a disease that has claimed so many lives," said Becker.

The event will kick off at the Montville High School track with music and food at noon and run until midnight.
