As part of its Silver Award, Cadette Girl Scout Troop 502 is helping the Montville Kiwanis to collect needed items for the Montville Food Pantry. In addition to the food pantry itself (located at the Montville United Methodist Church) and the satellite collection center at Executive Suites in Pine Brook, the troop has placed collection boxes at some of the private schools in Montville through the end of November or longer, including The Goddard School, The Church of the Transfiguration Nursery School, ABC Montessori School, and Trinity Christian School.
The Food Pantry is currently in need of: peanut butter and jelly, hot and cold cereal, fruit juice, canned fruit, hearty canned meals, tuna, side dishes, powdered or boxed milk, healthy snacks for kids, pancake mix and stuffing mix.
