The Pathways
of History Museum Tour event began in 2010 to promote Morris County small
volunteer run museums and historic sites which are admission free and self
sustaining. The event has now grown from
5 towns to 15 (with some towns having more than one historic
site) in four years. The annual event is
held in the fall, chiefly containing northern Morris County sites, and uses a “pathway” between towns to collectively encourage and boost
heritage tourism.
