Go Flying for Pennies-a-Pound

Airplane rides offered at the incomparable price of just 30 cents per pound.  Based on your own weight, a minimum of $20 and a maximum of $60 will be charged.  This event will take place on Saturday, October 19 (with a rain date of Sunday, October 20th) from 10 AM to 3 PM at Lincoln Park Airport in Lincoln Park, New Jersey.

Visitors can buy a ride in a General Aviation airplane flown by a qualified pilot who donates their time to share with the public the joy of flying.  The attached flyer contains the details and contact information to be used in case of inclement weather or in case of questions.  For more information on the event, weather, and alternate date information, contact Linda at 973-872-6213.

Pennies-a-Pound is Sponsored by the North Jersey Chapter of The Ninety-Nines.  The Ninety-Nines was established in 1929 by 99 women pilots, who elected  Amelia Earhart as their first president.  The Ninety-Nines is the international organization of women pilots  promoting the  advancement of aviation through education, scholarships and mutual support . Proceeds from Pennies A Pound support the chapter’s aviation education efforts and scholarships.  The Ninety Nines is a 501(c)(3)organization, so donations are tax-deductible.
