G 6-8" This includes a sample 45 min. class and a 10 min. preview for
parents to learn about our 5 week program with our certified teacher and
reading specialist.
· During the presentation parents will hear how their student will:

reading speed depending on material;

step-by-step approach to determine how information is organized in non-fiction
reading, and identify main ideas and supporting details;

Learn effective note-taking and how to incorporate notes into studying for tests;

Develop strategies for learning new words and
incorporating them into their vocabulary.
