FINANCIAL & ESTATE PLANNING SEMINAR FOR THE LGBT COMMUNITY POST-DOMA

On April 26, 2014, Maplewood Memorial Library is hosting a seminar entitled Tying the Post-Windsor Knot: Financial and Estate Planning Issues for the LGBT Community After DOMA.

Even though DOMA, the law that prohibited same sex marriage, has been mostly repealed, a myriad of regulations and statutes still remain for the members of the LGBT Community.

In this presentation, financial advisor Daniel C. Singer, CFP®, ADPA® of Summit Financial Resources, Inc. and attorney Gary R. Botwinick, Esq. of Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost, P.C., will share their knowledge of the potential legal and financial problems that still exist and provide insight into the financial and estate planning issues facing the LGBT community after the Windsor decision.
