Zoning, Board of Ed and Baseball

A quick rundown of what Patch hopes to cover this week.

This Week on Patch is a weekly column that looks into the future for a review of the stories Montville Patch plans to cover. While breaking news will always take precedent and events are subject to change, we expect to have people talk about the following over the next few days:

  • The Board of Education is meeting Tuesday at the Municipal building. With Election Day less than a month away and its proposed 2011-2012 already being adopted, expect some discussion about the superintendent’s budget proposal. We’ve covered the school’s budget some here and there are still two more public budget presentations before April 27, so don’t be surprised if the issue isn’t the more pressing matter discussed at the meeting.

  • In other meeting news, the Board of Adjustment is meeting on Wednesday night. According to the meeting’s agenda posted on the Montville township website, the board will act on a site plan that could bring lighting and construction on the Lake Valhalla Club.
  • Now that the spring sports season is upon us, there are plenty of games to cover. We will try to get to as many as we can, but expect to see stories on at least baseball verses Morris Hills on Monday, Softball verses Morris Knolls on Tuesday, and girls lacrosse against Passaic Valley High School on Friday.

This is only a snapshot of what we plan to cover. Check back with Patch every day to see what’s happening around town.
