World Records, More Construction and Bears Beware: The Week in Review

A selection of some of last week's stories.

In case you missed anything, here's a sample of the stories coverd by Montville Patch last week.

Continuing on a NJ DEP commissioner Bob Martin approved a comprehensive black bear management policy that includes a six-day bear-hunting season. The hunt, which is set for December, will take place in a 1,000 square-mile are north of Route 80 that will include the township.

A survey released Fairleigh Dickinson University showed that 25 percent of New Jersey drivers are texting while driving. Montville's traffic safety officer Lieutenant David Peterson confirmed that the issue has been a problem in the township,  leading the department to target cell-phone using drivers on Route 46.

Montville's road construction continued with a one-day project on Changebridge Road between the Valero station at 187 Changebridge Road and the municipal building at 195 Changebridge Road. More construction is planned for this week on Route 202.

The Little Learners pre-school celebrated its one-year anniversary in the township. The school plans to expand out to other areas in the future.
