Where to See Fireworks This Weekend

Celebrate the Fourth of July with a bang.

If you're looking to celebrate Independence Day the traditional way, with colorful fireworks bursting above you in the night's sky, we've got a few options to share for where to go.

Here are a few places to watch fireworks this weekend. Grab your blankets and chairs and have a Happy Fourth of July!

  1. Lincoln Park 
    Who's Hosting: The Jerry & Dolores Turco Foundation (JDT) Medical Rehab Center
    When: Monday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
    Where: 503 West Pine Brook Road, Lincoln Park
    Why Go: Fireworks are not the only thing to see at this event. A Lady Gaga impersonator, giant slide, face painter jungle bounce and many games will be at the event as well.
  2. Chatham
    Who's Hosting: Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department
    When: Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    Where: Chatham Middle School, Main Street
    Why Go: A parade will kick off the day's festivities beginning with a flag-raising by the Veterans of Foreign War Post in Whippany at 9:15 a.m. The fun will continue at 7 p.m. when Magic Moments will perform and fireworks will be presented by Garden State Fireworks of Millington.
  3. Parsippany
    Who's Hosting: The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills
    When: Monday at 7 p.m.
    Where: Parsippany Hills High School
    Why Go: Music will be provided by WDHA-FM & WMTR-AM.
  4. Mountain Lakes
    Who's Hosting: The Borough of Mountain Lakes
    When: Monday at 9 p.m.
    Where: Island Beach, Mountain Lakes
    Why Go: "To celebrate the birth of our nation," according to the borough.
  5. Hanover Township
    Who's Hosting: Township of Hanover
    When: Friday at 9:15 p.m.
    Where: Whippany Park High School
    Why Go: In addition to fireworks, Ace Gallagher's Wildcats will be performing hits from the '70's, '80's and '90's beginning at 8 p.m.
  6. Florham Park
    Who's Hosting: Borough of Florham Park
    When: Monday at 9 p.m.
    Where: Emmett Field
    Why Go: To see fireworks, of course.
  7. Denville
    Who's Hosting: Township of Denville
    When: Monday at 7 p.m. (fireworks at 9 p.m.)
    Where: Gardner Field
    Why Go: West Morris Community Band will be performing in addition to the fireworks display.
  8. East Hanover Township
    Who's Hosting: Township of East Hanover
    When: Monday at 9 p.m.
    Where: Lurker Park on Ridgedale Avenue
    Why Go: To see fireworks, of course.
  9. Dover
    Who's Hosting: Town of Dover
    When: Friday at 6 p.m.
    Where: Hamilton Field at Dover Elementary School
    Why Go: DJ Dr. J & Fusion Core Drum Corps. will be performing, in addition to fireworks by D&M Fireworks.
