Video: Montville Explorers Train, Drive Police Cars at William Mason

The new Explorers will graduate on Thursday.

The Montville Township Police Explorers Post 805 holds an eight-day sleep away, boot camp style training for all explorers every other year. During the in-between years, the Explorers compete nationally.

This year, 29 Explorers are participating in the training, which includes various police activities from dealing with domestic violence, to driving a police car (for those with permits and licenses), to learning the discipline it takes to make it through police training.

This year's class will graduate on Thursday night and Morris County prosecutor Robert Bianchi will speak at the event, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy.
