Board, committee members to be sworn in.

Committee Member, Appointees to Take Oath of Office

This week, borough councils and committees throughout the state will have their annual reorganization meetings. As mandated, all newly elected officials must be sworn in by Jan. 7, as well as incumbent officials who won re-election. Re-organization meetings are also the time for borough and school board professionals to be chosen and committee appointments to be made.

After winning re-election, Township Committeeman Don Kostka will be sworn in during Montville's reorganization meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Board of Education Members Also to Be Sworn In

After the Montville Township Board of Education voted to move school board elections to November, board members will also be sworn in by Jan. 7. Board Member Jon Alin was originally slated to be sworn in with the other two members who won re-election, but stepped down from his position on the board last month as he and his family are relocating to Florida.
