'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town,
Most Montville residents awaited Santa and hardly showed a frown.
As they celebrated the holiday with family and ate Christmas treats,
Montvillians reflected on the past year, both the struggles and and feats.
And to complete the township force, several new ones were hired.
Local elections were heated
Don Kostka won re-election and will be sworn in soon.
Local women showed their support for breast cancer research by running in a big race.
Talk continued on
A farm stand owner expressed concern of customers' lack of regard.
For months the township committee
Towaco's Teresa Giudice fought with her castmates on television and seemed to lose every friend.
While others approached officials about some rather large signs.
And even a year after the storm, the township continued to clean.
The school district
After Halloween was canceled, kids got another chance at fright.
The Independence Day celebration brought Montville American pride and pep.
Trees got knocked down when hurricane-style winds blew.
Officials were displeased by JCP&L's response and were not shy to remark.
They gathered residents' input and formed a post-storm review,
And while the storm may be over, officials admitted their work is not through.
