1. Affidavit: Former Teacher Sexually Assaulted Student

Former William Mason School teacher Jason Fennes was arrested twice on charges of sexually assaulting children. School district leaders responded to parents after his March arrest and discussed unrelated disciplinary action taken against Fennes while he was an employee of the district. One parent spoke to Patch in defense of Fennes while others commented negatively against the former track coach.

2. For Sale: 'Real Housewives' Gorga House for $3.8M

Stars of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and Montville residents Joe and Melissa Gorga put their Pond View home on the market this year. We're not sure if more fans of the show or interested buyers read the article, but the home has yet to be sold.

Firefighters spent hours on the scene of a Tumbling Brook Drive house fire in October after the flames ripped through the house and the roof collapsed. The owners of the home were in the process of moving to a new home in Boonton Township.

5. 'Wall of Shame' Farm Stand's Way of Ousting Shoplifters

The owners of Orchard Hill Farm came up with a way to deter people from stealing from the self-serve farm stand on Jacksonville Road. A poster was hung on the doorway with surveillance images of individuals the owners suspected of taking produce without paying.

Residents were not the only ones disappointed in Jersey Central Power & Light's response after Superstorm Sandy. Montville Mayor Tim Braden said the information provided by the utillity on where they were restoring power and when and Township Administrator Victor Canning also said he was not pleased with the communication efforts of the company.

7. Photos: Red Carpet Night at Montville Senior Prom

Montville Township High School seniors danced the night away at prom at The Skylands in Randolph. Girls dressed in floor-length gowns and guys donned tuxedos.

8. $250K Worth of Drugs Seized In Pine Brook

A couple was charged with intent to distribute drugs after police seized a large shipment of marijuana from a Pine Brook warehouse they allegedly had it shipped to. An undercover police agent assisted with the arrest after meeting the pair at the warehouse.

Dozens of Montville students packed a Montville Township Board of Education meeting after former track coach Anthony San Filippo was not offered his coaching position for the first time in seven years. Students said they were inspired by the coach and that he pushed them to achieve more than they thought possible in the sport.

10. Fire Rips Through Lake Valhalla Home

Just days after Superstorm Sandy tore through Montville, one Lake Valhalla home caught on fire. Police believe the fire may have been caused by a generator that was left on while homeowners were out.
