Gas Lines Keep Residents Waiting for Hours

Residents, from Montville and beyond, seemed to rush to the gas pumps, waiting hours to fill up, this week. Some used their mobile devices while they waited and others just listened to music.

Some Montville residents took advantage of a shelter set up by township officials at the Pine Brook firehouse. While they had no heat at home, residents said they were able to find comfort and warmth at the shelter.

Power Restored to 60 Percent of Montville

For days only a small portion of the township had power, particularly in Pine Brook near Route 46. But JCP&L seemed to make progress by Saturday, when Mayor Tim Braden said about 60 percent of the township had power restored.
