Primary Election, Relay for Life, Arts Supervisor This Week

Primary Election Day: Polls are open for New Jersey primaries from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, when Democrats and Republicans will decide their parties' nominees for the general election in November.

With two Township Committee seats up for grabs, a pair of Democrats—Dan Grant and Truscha Quatrone—are running uncontested, while there's a three-way race for the GOP nominations.

BOE Meeting: Montville's school board is scheduled to meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lazar Middle School. Recognition of district retirees, Montville High School's valedictorian and salutatorian, and the appointment of an arts supervisor are among the items on the agenda.

Relay for Life: Opening ceremonies for Montville’s Fifth Relay For Life  are scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at Camp Dawson. Participants are invited to walk laps on the athletic field for an hour or an entire evening. Interested residents can register at www.relayforlife.org/montvillenj. In-person registration begins at 6 p.m. Friday. Survivors who want to participate in Relay should contact Mary Osborne-Marrero at 201-396-6075.
