Snow Blankets Montville—Finally

Montville Township residents woke to 3 inches of snow, and more is expected to fall through the afternoon with the snow diminishing midday, according to the National Weather Service.

Look out for slippery sidewalks and roads (). Temperatures aren't expected to rise above freezing and a hard freeze is expected at night, with temperatures plunging to 5 or 10 degrees.

It's technically the first significant snow of the season—as the freak October snowstorm was, well, in October.

Montville school activities are canceled for Saturday, with the exception (last we heard) of the ice hockey game scheduled for 6:15 p.m. at Mennen Arena, which was still on.
