Montville Relay for Life Planning Underway

Committee invites others to join group Monday to help organize June event.

The wheels are in motion for this year's Montville Relay for Life event, being held in June, and the committee organizing the walk/run is looking for volunteers.

This is the fifth year Montville has been hosting the event, part of a national effort to fight cancer through fundraising for cancer research. The theme of the Montville Relay for Life gathering this year centers around the anniversary and will celebrate the significance of five years of survival for a cancer patient.

As part of the local effort, teams will "camp out at Camp Dawson" beginning at 8 p.m. on June 7. The teams will then walk on the Camp Dawson track and participants will be able to enjoy music, food and hear survivor's stories.
