Montville Library to Expand Weekend Hours

Board of trustees voted to provide extended service to the community.

The Montville Township Public Library will be expanding its service to offer longer weekend hours.

Starting in January, the library will be open beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and noon on Sundays. On weekdays, the library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays. The library will close at 5 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays.

"We are now open 70 hours per week to serve Montville residents,” Library Director Allan Kleiman said in a press release. “Both Saturdays and Sundays continue to be two of our busiest days. The Library Board recognizes that the Library should not have 'bankers' hours’ but should better reflect the needs of the entire community."
