Montville Hosting Water Conservation Day

Residents can learn about the Towaco Aquifer Saturday.

The Montville Environmental Commission is sponsoring Water Conservation Day on Saturday.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Camp Dawson on Jacksonville Road in Towaco.  

Residents will be able to attend "an educational and fun-filled morning and learn about the Towaco Aquifer, how water reaches our faucets and what can be done to keep our aquifer and watershed clean," according to a press release.

During the event, there will be hands-on activities, presentations by students and information about water. The event is for residents of all ages and it is free to attend.

In the event of inclement weather, the fair will be held in the Dawson Barn. Sponsors of the event include the Montville Township Water and Sewer Department and Montville Township Board of Education.
