Montville BOE Budget Hearings Continue

The Montville Township Public Schools Board of Education will host its second public presentation on the 2013-14 proposed school budget on Tuesday night. Before the first public presentation, held on Feb. 19, Superintendent Dr. Paul Fried shared some of the specific proposals included in the budget, including changing the school day times at the Robert R. Lazar School and introducing new curriculum initiatives.

The board will be meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Montville Township High School cafeteria.

Montville Township Committee to Discuss Liquor License Ordinance

The Montville Township Committee will meet on Tuesday at the municipal building at 8 p.m. The committee is expected to hold a public hearing and vote to revise a township ordinance that specifies the distance in which businesses must be located apart in order for them to both have liquor licenses. The issue first came up in previous meetings as the Montville Diner made a request so that the diner could purchase a liquor license.
