'Housewives' Husband Giudice Rejects Plea Deal

Giudice to stand trial for fraudulent ID charges.

Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star and husband of Teresa Giudice, has turned down a plea bargain that would have sent him to state prison. He will instead stand trial on fraudulent ID charges, according to The Record.

Giudice with possession of fraudulent ID after being arrested in his Towaco home. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office alleged Giudice had used his brother's identifying information to obtain a driver's license from the Department of Motor Vechicles in Paterson in June 2010. At the time, Giudice's own license had been suspended.

Giudice . Potential penalties for the charges related to the incident, which also include forgery, include up to 10 years in prison.

But on Monday, The Record reported Giudice rejected the plea deal of five years in state prison. He is now scheduled to appear in court to set a trial date on Oct. 1.
