Four Times the Fundraisers this Saturday

Lots to do in Montville this weekend. Get a primer here.

Sometimes, I set out to write these Five Things You Need to Know stories and they are a challenge because not too much is happening in Montville. Other times, like today, there is so much happening that it’s hard to know what to highlight. With than in mind, here’s a quick rundown of what you need to know heading into this weekend.

  1. It’s not too late to see Almost, Maine: The Barn theatre is holding its of its family-friendly romantic comedy this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. We thought(), but we would love to know what you think.

  2. Beefsteak and Tricky Tray: The Montville UNICO Foundation is holding a at the St. Peter’s Religious Education center in Parsippany on Saturday. Tickets are $40 and include beverages with dinner.  The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a prize review before going into full swing at 7 p.m.
  3. Fish and Chips Dinner: If Beef isn’t you thing, you could always head over to the fundraiser Saturday night. Taking place at 6 p.m. at the St. Pius X Parish Center, the dinner includes beverages, dessert and a chicken finger option for those who don’t care for fish.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.
  4. Buy Stuff for the Band: Montville’s parade of Saturday fundraisers continues with a benefiting the Montville matching band. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the high school, vendor booths and raffles will be open all day, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the band.
  5. NYC All Stars Skate Benefit: Rounding out the Saturday of benefits is a charity skate jam to benefit the Harold Hunter Foundation at Garden Sk8. From 12 to 3 p.m. a seirs of NYC skating pros will be on hand doing demos, along with prize offers from several big-time skateboard and skate accessory companies. A $5 donation is suggested at the door.
