Ex-Teacher Accused of Sexual Assault Still in Jail

Jason Fennes still in jail in lieu of $400,000 bail.

The former teacher remains in jail Monday in lieu of $400,000 bail.

Capt. Jeffrey Paul, a spokesman for Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi, said the investigation into allegations that Jason Fennes, 37, of Bloomfield, and one other victim is ongoing.

Fennes was arrested on March 5 on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault. four days later on charges that stemmed from a joint investigation between the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes Unit and Those charges included first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Julian Wilsey, Fennes' attorney, was unavailable for comment Monday but has not returned several calls for comment this month on the case from Patch.
