Egg Hunts and Town Cleanup

Your primer for what is happening in Montville this weekend.

The title of the post is a little disingenuous: these events listed aren’t all contained to Friday. However, there is so much happening in the township this weekend, I think it makes sense to span the weekend. With that in mind, here are five things you should know about this weekend:

  1. While many of the Montville High School sports games scheduled for Friday have been postponed to later in May, girls varsity lacrosse will face Mount Olive at home at 4 p.m., while JV plays at 5:30 p.m. The track team will take part in the freshman / sophomore relays at Randolph.
  2. Earth Day is on April 22, but Montville will be celebrating on Saturday with a community-wide cleanup. According to the township’s website, the event will include refreshments from 8 to 9 a.m. at the municipal building as well as t-shirts for organized groups.
  3. Joe Conte, a comedian from Parsippany featured on Opie and Anthony radio show, will be performing at Suppa’s on Saturday night. Tickets are $10.
  4. Montville Township’s annual Easter Egg hunt will be held at Community Park at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
  5. The SMAC health fair will be held at the municipal building on Saturday by appointment.
