After 13 years, a the long-standing Bollo Salon is feeling a bit tight and will be making the move to a larger space, which will double the size of their business. Patrons won’t have to look far as they’re only moving two doors down in the same shopping strip. They’re taking over the location of the closed Conturso's Market & Fine Catering.

Owners Steven and Kim Bollo are looking forward to the move just before the holiday season.

“We’ll be making the move within the next two weeks,” said Melinda Jung, manager last week.

“The soft opening will be in two weeks and then the grand opening is mid-January,” said Kim Bollo, who owns the place with her husband Steven.

Steven Bollo said that it’s been “on our mind for awhile to expand. It was just a matter of acquiring more space and when that became available, we took it.”

Bollo Salon has all the normal salon services and they also sell women’s accessories too, but there isn’t too much room to spread out in their current 1,200 sq. ft. salon. The new location boasts 2,500 sq. ft. and “will be very sleek with modern furniture,” said Kim Bollo. “It’ll be very different from this one with a hip feel.”

With the added space, there will be an increase from 8 to 15 salon operators, the addition of a boutique to be named ‘Kim & Co.’ which will feature women’s accessories.

“We’re looking forward to being able to offer more to our customers, with the space, the different atmosphere and added services,” said Bollo. “We’ll be concentrating on spa facials by Glo Minerals as well.”

There’s no change to their phone number or address.
