Fitness Center Closed Due to Unpaid Rent

Building management looking to bring in a new gym.

According to the property management company that owns the building formerly occupied by the Montville Family Fitness Center on Changebridge Road, the gym has been closed due to a failure to pay rent.

"The situation was handled by the courts," building owner Michael Lahue said. "They did have money. We've had many, many calls, a whole list of people who were members, so we know they had money, they just weren't giving it to us."

According to Lahue, building management is looking into bringing a new fitness center to the space in the coming weeks.
