Montville Township High School Key Club is hosting its second annual Back
to School Night Fundraiser and seven “prime parking spots in front of the
school are being auctioned for charity,” according to the PTC.
The auction ends on Tuesday at 9 p.m. and the spots are for parents for Back-to-School night at MTHS on Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m.
Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Key Club's charitable cause—The Eliminate Project. This project is a joint venture between the Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.
“This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year,” according to the Kiwanis. “The effects of the disease are excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.”
To participate in the auction, email your bid and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Key Club website will update the top seven bidders each night at 9 p.m.
Currently leading as of Tuesday night:
- Passaretti/Goldstein/Giulani: $125
- Fierro: $125
- Santos: $100
- Trezza: $100
- Hartnett: $85
- Kim: $75
- Patel: $75
Winners will be notified by email with payment instructions. You can also share the cost with a friend or two or three. “Carpooling is the way to go.”
The MTHS Key Club club listed off some benefits for participating in this auction:

- Get home quickly! No waiting in lines to leave the parking lot!
- Feel good about yourself for helping Key Club's charitable cause - The Eliminate Project
