Montville Residents to Perform at Towaco Music & Arts Festival

Rich Hollerith, Diane Maiello, Mike Wade and Glenn Bott are members of the band Common Conviction, which will play at next week's annual event.

Several years ago, Montville residents Rich Hollerith, Diane Maiello, Mike Wade and Glenn Bott began playing together and they had enjoyed it so much that they formed the band Common Conviction. Hollerith plays bass guitar, Maiello is vocals and flute, Wade is vocals and drums and Bott jams out on keyboard.


Common Conviction includes lead singer Jeff Birdi, lead guitarist Jerry Notte and rhythm guitarist Glen Ramkawsky. On Saturday, Sept. 21, Common Conviction will be taking the big stage at the 13th Annual Towaco Music & Arts Festival. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 22.

Their set list includes songs by Van Morrison, U2, Tom Petty, Santana, Rolling Stones and many others favorites from the '60s, '70s and '80s. 

Common Conviction will take the stage at 11 a.m. at the Towaco Train Station. The festival is hosted by the Tawaco Civic Association and features artists, crafts, live music, food.  Other performers at the festival include Zeke Carey Band, Rhonda Schuster and Black Lace Blues Band.
