New Jersey Film History Hits Montville Township Library

Walter Choroszewski will discuss New Jersey's history as the birthplace of the silent film and movies set in New Jersey.

When it comes to film and television, New Jersey has loads of stories to tell.

Walter Choroszewski, lecturer, photographer and author, is giving a presentation on New Jersey's contributions to film and television at an upcoming event at the Montville Township Library June 8 at 2 p.m. entitled Cinema & Television: The New Jersey Connection.

Choroszewski will discuss New Jersey's history as the birthplace of the silent film, the significance Edison Black's Maria Studio, present clips from movies set in New Jersey and films featuring notable New Jersey movie stars such as Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and James Gandolphini.

The event has become highly popular, and interested patrons are asked to register for the event ahead of time.
