Kiwanis Club Sends Care Packages to Military Service Members
The Kiwanis Club sent 18 care packages to servicemen and women domestically and over seas.
The Montville Kiwanis Club spent the early weeks of June sorting handful after handful of donations received during its May 30 drive for area servicemen and women locally and deployed overseas.
The club created a total of 18 care packages and shipped them to bases across the U.S. and places such as Afghanistan as part of "Operation Home Front," the club announced Thursday.
The Kiwanis club has received thank-you notes from troops who received the packages, and hopes to continue this effort in the future.
