Montville's former Tax Assessor George Stafford will be sharing his knowledge on who should be filing appeals and how to file on Thursday night at the Senior House.

When/Where: Thursday at 7 p.m. at the in Montville
Why Go: Former Tax Assessor George Stafford will be speaking about who should file tax appeals and how to go about the process.

Why Go: You want to enjoy free food and drink, get free health screenings, learn about the fire department's 200+ year history and more.

Why Go: You want to see this enduring, family-friendly classic.

Dog Adoption Day @ Bridgewater PetSmart
When/Where: Sunday at 11 a.m. at  on Promenade Boulevard in Bridgewater.
Why Go: Because your new best friend is probably waiting for you, and the best place to find him or her is at Bridgewater's PetSmart.
Cost: Free, plus the cost of the dog.

Why Go: Bring a flashlight and learn about nocturnal wildlife, participate in fun educational activities, and hike along the trails in the darkness. Sign up in advance. Hikes leave every 15 minutes and take about an hour.
