Ai Studios Works With Girl Scout Troop 5617 Of Northern New Jersey, Boonton / Boonton Township, To Earn Painting Badge

On Tuesday, April 1st 2014, Ai Studios worked together with Girl Scout Troop 5617 (second graders, ages 7 & 8) to get their painting badge at Rockaway Valley in Boonton Township. Montville Township-based Artist / Muralist Antoinette Coppola Feinman, who is also the founder and director of Ai Studios, spoke to the girls about her love of drawing and painting from the time she was a little girl, and how her passion for art carried through high school and college, and led her to receive Bachelor of Fine Arts and Education degrees.

As a part of earning their Painting Badge, Troop 5617 learned about different painting styles, techniques, and how the use of color can depict mood in a painting. The girls were taught composition, how to get an image onto a canvas, how to use various paint brushes, how to mix colors for blending, and how to apply paint to the canvas. The girls were able to successfully complete their paintings by the end of class while having lots of fun and exploring their creativity.
