Montville Schools to Give Summer Construction, Transportation Update

The Lazar new student orientation is at 9 a.m. and is for those new to the district only.

From 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., there will be senior lunch at the Senior House on Tuesday.

Later in the day at 7:30 p.m. will be the Montville Board of Education meeting at the municipal building. The agenda can be found here.

The business administrator’s report includes an update of summer construction projects and school transportation. Also, the board will also accept gifts, grants and donations:

• $380.48 from Honeywell International Corporation to MTHS for student programs
• Cedar Hill Home and School, Robert R. Lazar Middle School PTC, Hilldale PTC, Valley View PTA , William Mason Home and School and Woodmont PTA provided the district a total of $143,628 in classroom air conditioners and labor.
• Montville Mustang Association provided the MTHS Athletic Department with a sign over the scoreboard that reads “Welcome to Mustang County.”
• MTHS Band Boosters and MTHS PTC gave the MTHS band a total of $4,000 in marimbas.

On the agenda for New Business is the Montville Township High School and Lazar Middle School Music Schedule and the Towaco Jazz Festival.
