Nowak Lane Closure, FD's Cigar Smoke Fundraiser on Friday

The Montville Township Police sent out an advisory letting motorists know that Route 202's milling and paving project will begin Friday at Nowak Lane. Plan alternate routes, expect periodic road closures.

The Pine Brook Fire Department is made up of only volunteers, so come out and support these local firefighters at their 5th Annual Cigar Smoke Fundraiser. The tickets are $30 Presale and $35 at the door. Call (973) 227-1387 or email us at pinebrookfire@gmail.com to get tickets. The event goes from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Pine Brook Fire Department.

The Montville Reformed Church Women’s Guild is hosting its annual Apple Festival this Friday. The event is open to the public and runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children. For more information, go to this Patch article.

Cedar Hill Elementary is hosting its Family Bingo Friday at 7 p.m in its cafeteria. It's free and open to only Cedar Hill families and parents must stay with their kids during the event. There will be dessert, snacks, prizes and a 50/50 raffle. For the raffle, half of the money collected will benefit the Sunshine Committee, which assists Cedar Hill families in need, and the other half will go to a lucky winner that evening.
