Since 1965, Christine Valmy Inc. has been manufacturing skin care products at 285 Changebridge Road in Pine Brook. As early as in 1944, Christine Valmy, a chemist, who also studied medicine, herbs and Eastern European beauty techniques, began developing and manufacturing skin care products using all-natural ingredients from her garden in Romania. In 1961, she brought her products and skin care philosophy to the United States, where she opened the first American esthetics school for skin care. A little more than six years ago, the Brockmann brothers, Bill, Bob, Doug and Ken, noticed a void in the sprinkle market. They noticed the sprinkle void because Bill Brockmann owned a Carvel Ice Cream store. The four had been searching for several years to find a food item they could manufacture. “Food is recession proof,” explained Ken Brockmann, vice president of sales for American Sprinkle Co. “No matter what’s happening in the economy, people still have to eat. S-Cubed makes robots. The robots are designed to prepare silicon wafers so they will be suitable for microchip production.  In other words, the robots are an integral part of S-Cubed’s photoresist processing equipment.  According to Joe Deghuee, an employee who has worked at S-Cubed “since day one,” there are many steps that a silicon wafer goes through to become a microchip. Wafers may differ in size, from two inches to over eight inches. They can hold hundreds of microchip templates. At One Kramer Drive in Montville, across the street from the Dog Park, sits 80,000 square feet of manufacturing capability on 33 acres of land. Rockline Industries supplies 80% of the coffee filters used in the United States. Five days a week, two shifts a day work to produce 6 billion coffee filters annually at the company’s Kramer Drive site. Roughly 10% of the coffee filters manufactured in Montville are shipped overseas. Each of the eight entrance canopies at the new Yankee Stadium was manufactured at Sperro Metal Products in Montville Township. “We did a lot of work at Yankee Stadium,” said James Fernandez, head of operations. “We did all the canopies, and, 1,600 linear feet of concession stand counters.
