Spooky Speaker to Talk at Montville Library

Gordon Thomas Ward to speak at library on Aug. 22.

Gordon Thomas Ward believes ghosts are real and exist in New Jersey.

Ward, the author of Ghosts of Central New Jersey: Historic Haunts of Somerset Hills and A Bit of Earth, will speak about his experiences investigating so-called haunted locations and show library patrons evidence of his research during a presentation at the Montville Township Library on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.

In the presentation, "Ghosts: What They Are and How to Investigate Them," Ward will also teach attendees how to investigate what they believe to be hauntings without having to spend money on sound equipment.

Ward has visited several New Jersey libraries, including in Hillsborough, talking about his years of experience researching ghosts. According to his website, Ward is a member of Haunted New Jersey, a group of paranormal investigators who seek to either prove or dismiss hauntings in locations primarily of historic nature. He is currently working on a manuscript about "sensing and experiencing the divine in the world around us."
