Montville Township Committeman Scott Gallopo counts down with children until the trees are lit up at the Montville Township Municipal Building Monday.

Santa Claus came to town Monday night after dozens of Montville children sang holiday tunes with his name.

The kids and their parents gathered at the Montville municipal building for the annual tree-lighting and holiday celebration. Elvis the Elf performed holiday tunes while attendees sang along. Santa and Frosty the Snowman arrived just after 7 p.m. on two Pine Brook Volunteer Fire Department trucks.

Nice pix and clip! The Montville lighting is always a blast ... just a nice community event with kids, parents, town workers (D.P.W.), and the high school kids!

Elvis the Elf-I didn't recognize you! You seemed to get everyone in the holiday spirit last night and I especially liked the inclusion of the One Direction song.
