The Montville Township Police Explorers were recognized with a second place award for the group's community service program at the 2012 National Law Enforcement Conference in Fort Collins, CO, last week.

The annual convention brings thousands of police explorers and leaders together for a week of seminars and competitions.

In addition to the Montville Explorers' award, Daniel Cooney, a sophomore at Montville Township High School placed second in the physical fitness category of one of the competitions. The Montville team also placed fifth in the Judgment Shooting (Shoot, Don’t Shoot) team competition event.
