Landscaper Transported to Hospital After Being Struck on Cheryl Road

Police said driver struck lawnmower landscaper was riding on.

 

A landscaper who was working on Cheryl Road, near the intersection of Flanders Drive, was sent to Morristown Hospital Monday morning after being injured in a motor vehicle accident around 10:14 a.m.

Police said in the accident, the landscaper, who was not named, was riding a lawnmower that was struck by a 17-year-old Pine Brook teen. No further information was available on the cause of the accident or if any charges were levied.

The Montville Township Volunteer First Aid Squad transported the landscaper to the hospital.

Please go and check your facts against the police report. The car did not strike the landscaper, it was the other way around.

Mrs Smith is correct and the police will say the same thing don't hurt a poor kids feelings by making them believe they hit someone. It was an accident and the police say that so get the facts straight and don't make the child feel worse.

Regardless... those landscapers take up the road, they park on dangerous corners. They need to use common sense. I'm surprised we don't hear of more accidents like these in town.
