JCP&L Tree-Trimming to Begin in Montville Next Week

Utility-hired contractor to start work Wednesday in northwestern portion of township.

Tree-trimming crews contracted by Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) will begin maintenance on Montville trees on Wednesday, according to township officials.

The trimming will be conducted along the right-of-ways of the utility line, beginning with the northwestern portion of Montville Township, within the first three months of the new year. Lewis Tree Service will be completing the work.

Several roads have been been designated for work to begin on Wednesday, including Taylortown Road (from Boonton Avenue to Route 202), Rockaway Valley Road, Stoneybrook Road, Boonton Avenue, and the area of Lake Valhalla, including all streets that surround the lake.
