High School Hall of Fame Will Honor Montville Grads
This year's inductees will be celebrated at annual dinner in East Hanover.
The Montville Township High School Hall of Fame has elected its 2012 inductees and will be honoring them with a dinner next month.
This year's inductees (and the years they graduated from the high school) are Sandra Ackerman (2000), Debra Cannella Socci (1977), Hannah Choi Granade (1997), Matthew Duddy (1983), David Randle (1981), Beth Richman (1987) and Lisa Schwartz (1981).
Nelson Perez (1974) will receive the Memorial Award and the Contributor award will go to Jack Lynch. The 1982 Boys' Basketball Team will also be honored.
Graduates are honored annually through the Montville Township High School Hall of Fame for excelling in their lives and careers after graduating high school.
The dinner will be held on Nov. 9 at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover. All are welcome to attend and tickets can be purchased here.

Is this a joke? "excelling in their lives and careers after graduating high school." Not for nothing, i just looked up a "inductee" that was in my class and they are now a psychologist for a university.
Where is my induction ceramony? I have 3 degrees from a way more prestigious university and a job in my field!! What a freaking waste of money that im sure is being spend on a lavish and over the top induction ceramony. Great, now kids can pay an extra 5 dollars to be able to participate in sports at the high school.

Agreed - this seems silly

However, I had Jack Lynch for English and he was a great teacher so it's great that he's being honored. So i guess I'm divided over the issue. Maybe if they left out "excelling in their lives and careers after graduating high school" part and just honored the teachers? Seems almost impossible to analyze the career paths of all graduates and to then rank them without a bias toward personal views of accomplishment.
