Dog Still Missing in Montville
Lando's scent was last picked up in woods off Taylortown Road.
The search for Lando, a missing Irish Jack Russell Terrier who has been gone nearly two weeks, is now back in Montville as his owner said his scent was last picked up near Taylortown Road.
Cindy Kramer, Lando's owner, said his scent was identified in the area Friday and she and several volunteers have continued to search since the dog escapaed from Wags 'n Whiskers Inn on Aug. 5. Nebraska pet detective Karin TarQwyn was hired by Wags 'n Whiskers to assist with the search earlier in the week.
Kramer said she will continue to search and reach out to local animal shelters to see if Lando, a 9-year-old dog with beige and black fur and a short tail, has been rescued. Kramer said she has also received many phone calls and emails from people who believed they saw Lando, although he has not yet been seen by Kramer.
"We just really want to find him," she said. "It's a little heartbreaking."
Lando is shy, so Kramer is asking anyone who sees him to not approach the dog, but instead call her at 973-219-0182.
