175 Trees Donated for Arbor Day in Montville

Celebration will be held at Hilldale Elementary School.

Twenty trees will be planted along a path to a garden at Hilldale Elementary School in honor the school's retiring principal during Montville Township's annual Arbor Day celebration next week, according to a Montville Township Environmental Commission news release.

The township's 10th Annual Arbor Day and Tree City USA 2013 celebration is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Hilldale Elementary School. The celebration is open to all township residents.

The NJ Tree Foundation has donated 175 trees to be planted at all Montville schools and other public areas. Tree saplings will be given to all participants, the news release said.
